Haha. I thought Miley did a pretty good job at impersonating Justin Bieber. And she was a good sport working in a skit where they were making fun of her at the same time, lol.

i wasn't all that impressed by the miley skit - i thought they were going to be a little more interesting with it. maybe it would have been funnier if she had actually played herself? i thought it was lame when she defended the salvia thing - i mean, it IS legal but don't go back and forth between saying it's okay and apologizing.
I love SNL when it's good. To me, I think out of every five episodes, only one or two are good. But the ones that are good are HILARIOUS. Some of my fave skits are that mellow one you linked to and the Sergio one with John Hamm.
Miley did OK. I don't think it was a SNL best, but it was not the worst, either.
I agree, SNL is very hit or miss. The Miley thing was cute, but I admit it looked like a big stunt produced by her publicist to clear her name!
So we were skeptical about her hosting the show but it turned out to be an incredible episode that we laughed the whole way through!
