Bubble Therapy

Something very interesting happened today. I have had a pack of bubbles just sitting in my backseat all summer. So today, one of my students found the bubbles and asked me if he could use them so I said, "Why not?"

I cannot tell you why, but kids love bubbles, no matter the age! (Most of the kids at school are between 14 and 16 years old, and they are all BOYS) People were actually fighting over the bubbles!

So on my way home today, I made a pit stop to the $1 Store to see if it doesn't do the trick again tomorrow.

So what is it about Bubbles? I found this interesting article and it makes the point that when we blow bubbles, we are putting our energy into something different, and helps us to release that energy (especially if that energy is coming from something negative). The author also believes that the bubbles blowing in the air also stimulate creativity. Who knew?

So whose ready to blow some bubbles??? Happy Hump Day!!!

Aww, that's so cute! I don't think there is an age that I will be where I don't love bubbles...they are just so innocent and fun. And if it's true that bubbles stimulate creativity, next time I'm in a slump I'll just blow some bubbles! ;)

my girls LOVE bubbles. and they've loved them since they could basically see them. seriously. there's something about chasing them and popping them and how there's a ton of them just flying in the air. i think that's what they love so much about them!

Well now I want to go blow bubbles all over the place! In Wichita, where i grew up, there was a bubble man. He could make bubbles as big as people. He was the coolest and the entire town was so sad when he passed away!
