Actually this post should be called "Opinionated" Monday
There has been a lot of talk about being "pro-chick-fil-a" or "anti-chick-fil-a" in the media lately.

While I certainly believe that as people, we are free to our opinions.... I'm not so certain as to why a business that makes unhealthy fried chicken seems to be so opinionated. Granted I get it comes from a "Christian"standpoint, but I'm still not sure why they feel it's their job to make such a stink about it. But maybe that's just what the media wants us to think.

My personal biggest beef with chick-fil-a? I only want it on Sundays!

Plus, let's not forget to mention all the vegans, vegetarians and PETA members out there who probably despise fast food meat in general and probably have a whole different reason to be anti-chick-fil-a.
I'm also certainly not one to tell you what to believe, but today I am going to share one of my personal beliefs. Equal Rights means EVERYONE is equal. Gay. Straight. Bi. Man. Woman....
I also believe that if you were meant to receive any sort of message out of reading the Bible whatsoever, Jesus said to LOVE your neighbors. It is not our job to judge others for what they do. It is our job to love everyone unconditionally.

You may think it's your personal mission in life to save everyone, but if you really want to reach someone, listen to them.
Judgement free.
Judgement free.

The funny thing about politics is that opinions and times will always change. Just look how far we've come so far:
You don't have to agree with me, but you can still be courteous to all without causing a fuss.
Happy Monday to you all, whether you are pro or anti chick-fil-a

I completely agree. Also, I'm a vegetarian and it's sad to see those delicious waffle fries getting caught in the fray!
I agree. We spend too much time judging each other instead of loving them. And Christians sometimes are close tot he top of that. I think tolerance is something we forget. We should be able to voice our opinions and not be slammed for it. That photo is so right, we slam someone for a sin and think it's worse than our own, but it says that all sin is the same, unless it's a deadly sin that is, but still - only God can judge us and we're to love each other. It's a crazy world we live in and we just have to continue trying to make it as best as we can :) xx
Jess, I have to say THANK YOU for writing this post...I couldn't agree more! Obviously, I'm all for equal rights, and it boggles my mind when companies like Chik-Fil-A, who clearly have a ton of customers, decide to come out as having anti-Gay standpoints. I'm not religious at all, and I try not to judge others' personal beliefs, because they don't effect me at all. All I ask is that others do the same. And that last poster is so true...we need to remember that as a society.
I totally agree with this post. My faith in God is the most important thing to me, and I just hate it when people who claim to be Christians talk about excluding and discriminating against different types of people. LOVE is written all over the Bible, and you are missing something big if you don't see that.
We are all the same... it is mind boggling that some people can be so judgmental or narrow minded... I'm with Kizzy & meme-and-he. Great post Jess, sometimes it's good to rant!

oh i love all these quotes!
so true!
I must say, this post is probably the one I have agreed with most about the whole Chick-Fil-A issue. You truly nailed it and the funny quotes/posters definitely helped especially the one about Sunday cravings for "mah chicken" and the one about sinning differently. Love it!
Happy Monday Miss Jess! I actually went and grabbed an ice tea from Chick-Fil-A without knowing the story. Thanks for letting me know!
You hit the nail on the head right here. As believers, we should never judge others. But most often we do, and sometimes something hilariously sad like this happens when even a chicken-selling outlet decides to judge others. Thanks for your words! x
I couldn't agree more! Speech should be free, all people should be equal, and why are we freaking out about fast food? You go girl!!
Could not agree more!! I love the whole Motivational Monday idea. I do a linkup on my blog each Monday called Monday Mantras Inspirational Linkup - you'd be very welcome to come along and linkup :)
