Beach Day!

I didn't tell you a whole lot about my weekend yesterday because I was saving it for today!

My hubby's best friend from High School and Best Man in our wedding was in town this weekend. We don't get to see him a lot since he lives in Michigan now, but we had fun showing him around their old stomping grounds.

1. Hittin up the Grand Prix Race Track
2. Made a Pot o' Gumbo
3. Photobooth at the Reunion
4. My Favorite Shoes!
1. Beach Fun
2. Pleasure Pier in Galveston
3. First Bubba Gump in Texas!
4. I seriously need to work on my jumping skills.....

It was my Hubby's 10 Year High School Reunion and I'm not sure how I feel about reunions. Mine will be next year, but I haven't decided if I will go. We both graduated from schools with classes of over 1,000 people, but we also had lots of friends from different grades than us, so we wouldn't/didn't get to see all of the people we wanted to see.

Have you gone to a High School Reunion before? What do you think?

We still had fun catching up with people and of course, it's always great when old friends come to visit!

Sweet pictures. Looks like a lot of fun :))) I didn't get to go to my reunion as I love overseas and can't travel back to Michigan to go to them. But, I saw pictures. I think I would like to go as I was pretty much the geek in class, boys were mean and so were girls really. I look masses different from them, so I guess going would show them, they didn't know me down hard enough, because I got back up and achieved quite a lot. And seeing old friends would be nice too. Maybe you should go, it might be fun :)) Have a sweet day doll x

I really need to go to Pleasure Pier! Maybe when it cools down a little bit. You know as much as I do that this heat has been crazy!

Those are really pretty pics.
It is always nice to have friends come over especially when you don't get to see them in years.

I'm forever away from my home country so I missed out all those reunions. It's sad really. I would love to catch up with old friends. I keep up with only a few, so it would be nice to be able to meet up with old friends at these reunions... have fun at yours!

Looks like loads of fun. I'm not in the same places and region that I went to schools, so I have not been to my recent reunion. Great photos! :)

so much fun...makes me want to lay on a beach for the day. I have not gone to high school reunions, and I don't know if I ever will because just the thought makes me nervous! I was a totally different person then, and I have really had to move past that time in life to embrace who I am now. So I think going back would be hard.

Looks like a very fun weekend! I figure that we will probably go to mine, but not the hubby's. He has no attachment to his high school, because he keeps up with his friends other ways, but he LOVES all my old high school friends and wants to hang out with them! It cracks me up, because every time we go home, he buddies up with all my old buddies.

Looks like fun in the sun, wish I could get away for a weekend in Galveston! Since you're a fashionista, you should check out these luxury linen towels by Deck Towel--they're my #1 beach must have. Big enough for everyone to share, keeps the sand away (linen is magic), plus the bright colors liven up the gray Gulf Coast.

Looks like a pretty great weekend!

My 10 year reunion was earlier this year and I didn't go. It was at a lousy restaurant! Rip off lol. Plus with facebook it's not like I don't see/communicate with high school friends still. Maybe I'll go to my 20th :)

My high school reunion took place this year & I didn't go. It made me a little sad but honestly I was new my senior year of high school & only kept in touch with one of the girls I was friends with that year so...hurray for fb! :)

Adoooorable shoes!
I went to my first reunion, it was quit fun, but there where less people I knew then I'd expected! It appeared to be a reunion for everyone who had graduated over the years. Still less people then your 1000 :)
