Oh, and one more thing! Many of our kids are extremely literal. They understand Good/Bad/Happy/Sad. But they have a hard time with words like ugly/cool because they don't always mean the same to other people. Ugly might mean you're hair is messed up, or it could mean you used an ugly word. Cool can mean an ice cold drink, or something awesome! This helps them to think "outside the box" if you will. I will say though, you do have to think a little harder when it comes to what's cool & ugly as opposed to good & bad!

That sounds like an awesome idea for your kiddos! Maybe I'll try that with my class this fall for some sort of writing activity. It could work right?
And I gave up facebook for Lent this year and it was really nice. I didn't have any of the mindless comments or anything and I could contact people I wanted to talk to another way on my own time. Sometimes other people found it inconvenient for them, but for me it worked out just fine.
