Several of you asked (and gave your excellent input) on the Living Room situation. The one thing I forgot to mention is that our living room opens up into the tiniest space of a dining room. Other than that.... it's a kitchen and 3 bedrooms (so not much room for putting extra furniture). But the tips were greatly appreciated and here is what we ended up with!
We've also been dealing with taking care of a tree situation in the backyard all summer. What started with one massive tree branch turned into one construction crew, dealing with insurance companies and multiple quotes, and removal of our cherished Oak Tree... so long story short, we have a new backyard!

A before and after. Hubs is pretty upset about the grass situation but it will grow back!
On another note, it's back to school for me and while I'm excited to get back in the groove, I'm definitely going to miss my lazy days of summer as they will definitely be me last for awhile.
Oh, and I almost forgot about the most exciting happening!
This was me last week. There's not a whole lot to show... yet!
But I'm sure that will change in just a few weeks!
