Good/Bad/Cool/Ugly

Good

  • Project Runway! But I have to say, is it just me or is this season getting a little *yawn* boring? I didn't even have a Top 3 this episode. This was clearly the winning look in my opinion!

  • Last week of summer school! Which means it’s time to start getting ready for the new school year!

How cute is this sign in our Pre-K room? They had the kids come up with reasons when it is OK to cry (to reduce the # of unnecessary temper tantrums!)

And I know it's a bit juvenile, but I love this classroom's decorations!

Bad

  • The good always comes with the bad right? Lots of catching up to do before school starts back up! (next week!)
Cool

  • Going to a fancy restaurant tonight. It is Houston Restaurant Week so all participating restaurants (for the whole month) are offering 3 (sometimes 4) course meals for only $35 a person!
Little Black Dress

Ruffle dress, $23
T Bags long dress, $86
Old Navy flat sandals, $20
Gorjana leather wrap bracelet, €85
ALDO long chain earrings, $10
H M leather belt, £9.99

Ugly

  • It’s been so dry in Houston (for lack of rain) that we had to go on a Mandatory Watering Schedule. I only get to water my lawn on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 8pm and 10am. My plants and I are very sad :(

How was your week? What are you up to this weekend???

I love that top from Project Runway this week! It was so cute, and it was the perfect look for Nina. I think some of the people are funny to watch. I think that Josh McKinley guy is a riot, so he keeps it a very entertaining hour! Stay cool and good luck finishing summer school. You're so close!!

I haven't seen Project Runway this week, but from what I've seen of the past episodes, I don't have any favorites yet. And that list in the classroom is adorable! Good luck catching up before school starts! ^^

That classroom is so fun - I wish I could do that in my work office :-) I love the idea of restaurant week, wish we had that here.

Isn't that crazy that Houston, of all places, can have a draught? I raised my kids in SE Alaska - a temperate rainforest. Friends from there are telling me that the water level in the lake that powers the city is so low right now that they're going to have to go on load-shedding ... that is, scheduled black outs, to conserve energy. It's crazy!
Anyway, love this post ... all of it!

Oh I miss project runway! I haven't watched the past couple seasons :(
And I love the list! I hope it does help cut down on tantrums :)
And I am definitely praying for rain for Texas! This drought is awful!

Those reasons to cry should totally apply to adult life as well lol.

i love those classroom decorations too and a list of reasons to cry is a good idea. maybe even adults need something like that once in awhile. absolutely loving your outfit for the fancy restaurant so cute!

I agree with you that the Project Runway outfits have been a little blah so far. You'd expect so much more, but I've noticed some of them don't have a lot of experience.

I love the room "the decoration" and I agree with you Project Runway is a little boring:(

Your new follower hope you follow back:)

Kinders have to go to summer school!?

I think you should decorate your classroom that way, I love it. I so would've paid more attention in class ;)

i agree, project runway isn't living up to my expectations yet this season.

i love that sign with reasons to cry. i should totally do that with my daughter and make sure to point out the reasons when she cries for no reason!

bummer about your watering schedule :( hopefully will rain more this fall/winter!

nice feather earrings! they're so pretty and a good alternative to the feather hair extensions that are oh-so-popular right now!

thanks for the comment, love!

I'm hoping this week's Project Runway is better! Did you catch my interviews with the eliminated designers? I'll be doing them every week!

i agree with project runway... there's not one memorable yet in the show or that deserves much attention
